The Challenge

La Cocina is a new brand of spices with a name and a great product. La Cocina came to The Ant Society to build the brand from scratch. The company needed support to build a business aimed at customers who valued cooking traditional recipes.

Solution

The first priority was to develop strategies and an image for the brand that conveyed the high quality ingredients in order to entice retailers to put the product on their shelves. This included creating a brand positioning strategy, logos, branding guidelines, package designs for their product line up, recipes and social media content.

To create the brand we developed a logo that featured the “Molcajete”, a traditional food preparation tool made from volcanic rock.

Results

The brand is in the process of building its distribution network and has already signed up retailers in the West and Southwest.
